The building now called the Judge's Office (or the Justice of the Peace) was originally built in the 1930s or 1940s, housed offices for Felder Oil and was located near the Burton Railroad Depot.  In 2006, Rita, Inc. moved the building to the White Horse Tavern.  Historically, the building that served as a longtime office for the Burton Justice of the Peace was located in this site and for many years adjoined the White Horse Cafe.  Upon restoration of the White Horse in 2006, the original Judge's Office was dismantled due to its deteriorated state and the lumber and materials were salvaged for re-use in the White Horse.  The relocated building proudly continues the site history as an office for the Burton Justice of the Peace.
